Report: RDIF sees Sputnik V approved by WHO in next few months

MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) hopes that the World Health Organization (WHO) will approve the Sputnik V anti-coronavirus vaccine in the next few months, CEO Kirill Dmitriev said in an interview with CNN television channel late on Wednesday.

“The WHO has just announced that it will resume consideration of the Sputnik V vaccine, and we expect a group of the inspectors to visit Russia soon. And we expect the vaccine to be approved by the WHO in the next few months,” he said.

Dmitriev also said that, according to the WHO, assessment of the vaccine has reached a final stage.

In Russia, the level of vaccination will achieve 60% in two months, he also said.
